Week 3 Blog

The people who benefit from the work I do are mainly the attorneys and the legal assistants. Since I do want as much as experience as possible, I do both workers compensation and personal injury. The legal assistants have a speciality to what they do. For example half works for workers compensation and the other have does personal injury. I take on both roles and open case files for both sides. The only person who mainly does both would be my mentor which is the office manager. She multitasks between the both, since I am there I take any case off her hands and work on it. The attorneys also benefit from it since they have a case index to look at and examine to see if anything else needs to be done.

I am very thankful for my mentor during this internship because she encourages me when it comes to doing certain tasks, she also encourages me to ask more question if i do have any. I am mostly grateful for this experience overall, I think having an internship can really change someones perspective on having a job. It is also very helpful to see if you really want to pursue that career, sometimes a person will think they want to do something not knowing the workload that comes with it. When you are able to have internship it either encourages your dreams or simply has you re-think any career options.
