Week 4

Over the course of my internship I can see how my role has definitely began to be more important, not that it already wasn't at the beginning but I am now being told to do more difficult tasks. My work also has shifted into to being more independent instead of having my mentor help me constantly. I've also seen how I'm becoming more of a reliable co worker, since many of my co workers besides my mentor hand me cases to do for them, or trust me with different other jobs. Not only have I seen changes around me but changes about myself, I'm more confident with my abilities which helps me a lot while making phone calls. I've gained confidence which helps work feel less stressful.

My project is going super well since I am given cases everyday it just adds more to what I can show. I would say the only challenging part is having to switch between each case since i either have to make a letter for one client or answer and insurance company or a hospital. Having to switch from cases to case can get pretty overwhelming at some point. For example, the first case I did when internship had first started I sent out letters asking for records. Once I sent out those letters it was set aside and I focused on a new case, now since i got responses from those who received the letter I have to proceed with the case and follow what's next. Thats why I have to keep my files organized so I don't get overwhelmed as much.
